Our social care and health portfolio includes:
> Developing joint working practice – the Single Assessment Process
Central offers a range of consultancy and training approaches to support the implementation of the Single Assessment Process as part of the National Service Framework for Older People. These include drafting multi-agency Procedures and guidelines for staff; process mapping; meeting facilitation; briefings/presentations; development of training strategy; design and delivery of staff development programmes; capacity building for facilitators and champions and evaluation of processes and outcomes.
> Developing Boards
With the development of care trusts, children’s trusts and a myriad of joint forums issues of joint governance are in prominence. Central offers customised, flexible in-house programmes to support strategic development for Boards and senior management working across agencies. These build individual competence and increase the Board’s effectiveness as a whole.
We also offer a well-established Board Review and Renewal process drawing on the latest guidance on corporate governance, and capacity building for Board members recruited from local communities.
> Developing new Organisations
If you are a developing trust or considering a merger we can help you to avoid common pitfalls and achieve integration more quickly and effectively. Central has a track record in supporting organisations through change and promoting continuous improvement and can offer a range of Organisational Development interventions from culture change programmes to workforce development to support Improving Working Lives and The Agenda for Change.
> Developing anti-discriminatory working practice
Central offers a range of approaches to support Improving Working Lives, The Agenda for Change and Race Equality Schemes. We can help you to ‘design in’ equality and diversity objectives within arrangements for integration between Health and Social Care Agencies (e.g. new Trust arrangements or closer multi-agency working).
> Scrutinising practice
Providers of care in residential homes are subject to scrutiny by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). Central can help you review current practice in advance of inspection, or provide post-inspection support to managers, staff and service users where concerns about service delivery and/or management in care establishments have been identified.
